Derby County Ladies Football Club

Ewe Rams Follow The Derby Away

Club CEO, Duncan Gibb feels that exciting times are ahead, on the back of the latest chapter in the recently announced ‘One Club’ synergy with the main club.

Having launched their new away kit today, Derby County have continued to evidence their commitment to the club using Ewe Rams players Hannah Ward, Chloe Hutsby, Nikki Ledgister and Grace Harrison along with Derby County Academy players to give the first glimpse of the Rams second strip.

Gibb said “Following on from club owner, Mel Morris’s statement towards the end of last season, to support the female arm of the club both operationally and financially, a number of Ewe Rams players feature heavily in today’s launch of the new Derby County away kit for the 2018/19 season, which for me is a really positive marker in terms of that intent.

“Derby County have one of the highest percentage of female supporters of clubs across the four divisions of the Premier and Football League, so it makes perfect sense to have females promoting the kit to other females.”

“When you align this latest development to the senior squad now training up at Moor Farm, it is clear that things are moving in the right direction. When you also consider that as a club we have just won a clean sweep of ‘Club Of The Year’ awards, locally, regionally and nationally, the future is looking really bright as we start gearing ourselves up for the new season.”
