Ewe Rams Looking Forward to Awards Night with Derby County

Derby County Ladies CEO Duncan Gibb is excited to see the #OneClub approach in full swing this evening as the Ewe Rams get set to join the Official Derby County End of Season Awards Night.

The Ewe Rams will be in attendance for the first time at Pride Park Stadium tonight, where there will be two awards up for grabs, watched by a healthy contingent of players and staff.

Gibb said “It’s fantastic that we have been invited along to the awards night and we are looking forward to being showcased alongside the main club, it’s something we have strived for and today we join them.

“The support that we have been given from Derby County has been nothing short of amazing and the hard work that has been done by both sides of the club will be on showcase tonight.

“I know the squad are excited to attend and i’m sure it will also give them a boost ahead of our final two games of the season too. To have our names alongside the main club today will be a proud moment in the history of the club.”

There will be two awards tonight for the Ewe Rams with Boss Samantha Griffiths naming her Player of the Year, whilst the second award will be the Supporters Player of the Year Award that is being sponsored by club partner, Your IT Department Ltd.

Gibb said “It’s going to be tough to pick a winner for both awards this evening with every player having improved the squad and given stand out performances across the season.

“Sam will have a tough choice to make and I don’t envy her but it is a testament to her and her staff that so many are in with a shout and also to the squad who have put their hands up and bought into the project here.

“The Supporters Player of the Year is something that was devised by the club and there were hand-picked fans who attend most of our games that were given a vote and only our Media Director knows the results, so again its an exciting time tonight.

“To get this award sponsored is another fantastic step for us and we can’t thank Craig and the Team at Your IT Department Ltd enough for their continued support. They have been with us for three seasons now and we couldn’t do it without them or any of our Club Partners.”
