Ewe Rams Renew Partnership with Purpose Media

Derby County Ladies are delighted to have renewed their Academy Team partnership with the rising Derbyshire based Digital Media company Purpose Media for a second consecutive season.

The Ewe Rams and Purpose Media partnership began for the 2017/18 season with the company putting their name to the Under 11’s Black Socks team kit as well as offering vital support to the clubs digital media footprint and for CEO Matt Wheatcroft, once again linking up with the club was high on his agenda.

Wheatcroft said “Linking up with Derby County Ladies is great for our brand awareness and being involved with the men’s arm of the team, where we have built their website has shown what it can do for a business like ours and with women’s football continuing to grow, we want to be at the forefront of that.

“If you look at the figures for Derby County, the club has a high percentage of female followers, around 30% so aligning with the main club is vital for Derby County Ladies and we think we can do our bit to help out and having three daughters who are all interested in the game as well, it can serve as a bright future for them too.

“We enjoy backing football in the Derbyshire region, we are all massive fans of the game and we feel it is important that we give something back and we are doing that at both Derby County Ladies and our new venture that we are building at Sleetmoor United where we have brought three clubs together and will be helping build for the future of the game.”

Derby County Ladies Commercial Director Neil Jackson believes the support of the rising Digital Media company is fantastic news for the club and shows that the renewal system shows that both the club and partner continue to work together for each other.

Jackson said “It’s pleasing to see that we have added Matt and his team at Purpose Media for another season. Matt is doing a lot of great things for football in Derbyshire and the support that he provides for the youngsters in the Academy to improve their game is vital.

“I know from speaking to our Media Director Andy Moore that the advice that he gets from Matt and his team is a fantastic sounding board for him and the Under 11 Black Socks have had a fantastic season too and is a very striking kit.

“Purpose Media are also the Digital Media partner with the Derby County and have built their world class website and we know that many other clubs from around the UK in both football and other sports are wanting to work with Matt and his team so to have him on board again is great for Derby County Ladies.”

With Matt championing football across Derbyshire, he has been fundamental in setting up a new club in Sleetmoor United,  bringing together three clubs from across the north of the county to work together and build what is hoped will be a new modern club with facilities to match.
