Game Week 19 with Academy Director Dave Cholerton

There was Cup delight for Ewe Rams Academy teams last week and it was pleasing to see that we are once again going to be represented in Cup Finals this season.

These occasions are always good for the development of our players and they are days out for the whole squad and their families and hopefully the results drop the right way but even if not, it teaches the players about managing their emotions and nerves on these sort of days.

The u14 travelled to Solihull for their quarter final cup game. The Ewe Rams won 8-1 with Ella 3, Nicole 2, Steph K, Amy and Amber scoring the the goals to take Derby into the semi final.

The u16 travelled to Leafield and showed great character to come back from 2-0 down at half time to win 3-2 with a brace from Jess and a goal by Abbie. This victory has taken the Ewe Rams to just one point away from winning the league.

The u15 had a good 5-1 victory at home against Stourbridge. The u12 white socks lost 3-0 against Sleetmoor.

The u14 white socks and the u12 black socks were both in challenge cup action. The u14 white socks beat Sleetmoor 2-0 with Demi scoring both goals and the u12 won 8-0 against Toton. This victory sees the u12 Ewe Rams through to the final on 1st May.

The u9, u10 and u11 white socks had games against Wirksworth, Outwoods and Derwent respectively.
