The outcome of this match did not reflect the performance of Derby County Ladies FC U12 (White Socks). The DCLFC U12 (White Socks) dominated play with more shots on target, higher proportion of possession and had more corner kicks. Despite the score line, this was a match in which the DCLFC U 12 (White Socks) Girls should be very proud of themselves, their grit, determination and the good football they played.

The Toton United U13 Girls were compact defensively and punished the DCLFC U12 (White Socks) with three counter-attack goals during the first half.  Despite conceding these goals, the DCLF U12 (White Socks) maintained their shape, calmness on the ball and slick passing were a delight to watch.

The 11 Girls that were available for this match played exceptionally well and their performance during the 2nd half of this match by been more compact and pragmatic were indication of the progress that these lovely bunch of Girls are making as individuals and as a team. Special commendation to Mimi (Captain), who demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities as she encouraged her team-mates throughout the match as well as kept on reminding her team-mates to maintain their position.

Imogen and Ayla display during this match earned these girls the player of the match (POTM) award. This twin has continued to be invaluable members of the DCLFC U12 (White Socks) Team.

Thank you to the coaches, parents, families and friends for their support, encouragement and for being proud of us. We are optimistic that the results will very soon start to reflect our performances.

We promise that we will continue to give our all on the pitch and we all look forward to returning to Monday and Tuesday nights training sessions.
