A top of the table clash saw Derby take on second placed Sleetmoor at a very windy racecourse this morning.
Sleetmoor started the brighter of the two sides and took the lead with just eight minutes on the clock.  Derby pushed forward in search of an equaliser and were fashioning  chances with some excellent play down both wings, the goal duly came on 15 minutes after the Sleetmoor defence was beaten for pace and an excellent cross was tucked away neatly under the goalkeeper.
Derby continued to press and although Sleetmoor looked dangerous on the break it remained all square at the break.
The second half  started the same as the first with Sleetmoor again taking the lead following a goal mouth scramble,  the girls again pushed forward and soon got the equaliser following a corner, the ball played back in from the far post and well finished from close range.
Derby continued to push forward and took the lead with ten minutes left a brilliant strike from the edge of the box giving the keeper no chance. It was Sleetmoors  turn to try to find an equaliser but yet again the defence held firm and with time running out Derby added a fourth, another great finish from the edge of the area to put the result beyond doubt.
This was an excellent win against a very well  organised and physical side,  coming from behind twice to run out 4 : 2 winners shows the character of this side.
